FAQs

How qualified are the artists, teachers, and directors?

Click here to read some of our bios! For any rehearsal process, the director will provide a breif desciption of his/her background and experience to parents and students. The best thing we can do to make sure our students are gaining as much as possible is to connect them with the greatest artists and teachers DC has to offer. Wobble Rocket holds each artist, teacher, and director to high standards. They are experienced professionals and educators with a proven track record. They have gone through a rigorous interview process, and have been observed in action by Wobble Rocket leadership before hiring. When you register for a Wobble Rocket project, you are paying for a brilliant arts educator who cares immensely about creative and intellectual development. Furthermore, there is always a present adult who is CPR/First Aid certified.

What should I wear?

All adults and students should wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move easily, and is not revealing. (closed-toed shoes with rubber soles, shorts or pants, etc).

What should I expect on the first day?

Before rehearsal begins, you should receive an emailed welcome letter with goals and date reminders. When you arrive on the first day, there should be a Wobble Rocket sign instructing you where to go. Parents may attend the first 10 minutes of the first rehearsal, to get a sense of the process. During the first rehearsal, students and adult mentors and artists will simply get to know one another, play fun activities, and set-up goals and expectations. After rehearsal, students will exit the classroom with one of the adult artists. Students being picked up by an adult will notify us when they see their car/adult, as we watch them leave. Teens who drive may leave on their own, but should still notify an adult artist that they are leaving.

May I bring a snack?

Everyone is encouraged to bring water to stay hydrated during sometimes strenuous activities. There is usually time for a 5 minute break during all meetings that will allow time for a snack. If you think you will need a snack, please bring one with you. No students will be allowed to leave the premises to purchase a snack during rehearsal. Food sharing is not permitted, unless you have gained permission from the director/teaching artist before class. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY PEANUT PRODUCTS for the safety of those with allergies.

What if I’m not sure that I’ll like it?

The audition process should give you an idea of what the process will be like, since it's held as if it's a regular rehearsal. You will also have the chance to ask any queations at the audition. Additionally, Wobble Rocket offers occasional free workshops for students to try it out, and see if they’re interested.

If I regiater and pay, but then can no longer attend, do I get a refund?

Yes. If you have attended the first 3 or less meetings, and will no longer be attending, we will offer you a full refund. After the first 3 meetings, we can no longer offer refunds.

Are scholarships available?

Scholarships will become more common as Wobble Rocket grows. However, instead we currently offer a payment plan. If you have questions about payment plans, or would like to be notified when we begin accepting scholarship applications, please contact Tiffany, and ask to be added to the mailing list.
